A fascination with storytelling and a knack for technology describes much of Connor's life. In middle school, however, he found that through working on the lighting for the school's performances he was able to combine these two aspects of his personality.

He began to expanded his involvement in theater during the summer of his sophomore year of high school when he first interned for the Hanover Theatre in Worcester, Massachusetts. Through the Hanover Theatre, Connor found the mentorship and education needed to pursue the craft of lighting more readily.

After high school, Connor attended Pace University in New York, New York where he is a Production and Design for Stage and Screen major. His experience with Pace was valuable for developing his approach to designing with light beyond technical knowledge as well as exposing him to other design fields such as sound.
